Luke Macfarlane officially turns 31 today, January 19th. Along with his twin sister, Ruth, they both officially have surpassed the 30 year mark and onto the road towards their next decade goal.

2011 is here and with it, this year we have the last 12 episodes of Brothers & Sisters episodes that will finish off season 5.

In addition, this month marks Luke Macfarlane‘s 31st birthday on January 19th. If you have not sent him a birthday card or present, do so now, especially for you fans not in the USA as post service is not as quick. Best to send everything about a week before his birthday, so the cut off time frame will be January 12th if you want your card or present to get to him on time.

Luke Macfarlane as Scotty Wandell places 5th at AfterElton’s Top 50 Gay Characters

Last year, Scotty Wandell (Luke Macfarlane) placed 19th in AfterElton’s Top 50 Gay Characters but the character has gone up because there is more exposure and more of a storyline with the character. And so, this year, he places 5th, above the more popular, Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys).

Let’s hope this upward trend continues on to the next year! :)

Congrats to Scotty Wandell (and Luke Macfarlane) for giving gay fans a needed image boost and having one of the best primetime gay characters on TV.
